The Secretary, Forest & Wildlife Department, Mr. Imran Taj Gichki, visited Boys Inter College, Government Boys High School, and Madrasa Darul Quraan, Khanai Baba, District Pishin on the invitation of the local community., including Mr. Fida Khan Kakar, Haji Mohammad Hassan, Haji Allah ud Din, Haji Nizam ud Din, Mohammad Khan, Haji Dawood Khan, Haji Ahsan ullah, Mufti Amin, and Molvi Abdullah. He was accompanied by senior forestry officials, including the Chief Conservator of Forests, South Balochistan, Mr. Aslam Buzdar; Chief Conservator of Forests, North Balochistan, Syed Ali Imran; Conservator of Forests, Mr. Umer Farooq Khan; and Divisional Forest Officer Pishin, Mr. Ajmal Khan. During the visit, the Secretary planted trees at the educational institutions .Tree plantation activities were carried out with active participation from students, teachers, and community members. The visit highlighted the importance of trees in addressing climate change and global warming.
Religious scholars also shared the significance of plantation in Islamic teachings, encouraging collective efforts for environmental protection.
Such community-driven initiatives play a vital role in enhancing vegetation cover and building climate resilience for future generations .
